Continental Divide SCCA Teams with USLMA for $7000 SM/S7 Memorial Day Race and April 11 Lapping Day

SCCA Continental Divide (CDR) is teaming with the United States Late Model Association (USLMA) on Memorial Day weekend at the Pikes Peak International Raceway (PPIR) road course, and drivers will split up to $7000 in purse money as a result!

In addition to the double regional club race on Sunday-Monday, May 24-25, CDR and USLMA will present a support race on Saturday, May 23, for Spec Miata and Spec RX-7 cars. Preliminary plans include Saturday practice, qualifying and a 45-minute final, all on the PPIR road course. The USLMA hopes to draw 10,000 fans to their stock car races, so SCCA drivers will have a multitude to cheer them on the road course.

CDR will also team with USLMA at the PPIR road course THIS SATURDAY APRIL 11 for a lapping day for all Spec Miata and Spec RX-7 cars. The cost is only $10 (yes, just $10!), and crew members, family and friends are all invited.

This is an incredible opportunity for a quality test and tune at very low cost. There are only 18 slots available for the lapping day, and they are going fast. Contact Clay Turner at, or at 719.338.3434 to reserve a spot for the lapping day this Saturday.

And beg, borrow or steal a Miata or RX-7 for Memorial Day!

Clay Turner
CDR Solo Chairman/Assistant RE/Club Racer
